LSAW Pipe

LSAW pipe,full name Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welded steel pipe,is a high-strength heavy-duty straight seam welded steel pipe manufactured by submerged arc welding process.Different from ordinary ERW pipes,LSAW pipes adopt thick steel plates as raw materials instead of steel coils.The steel plate is bent and formed into cylindrical shape,then both inner and outer weld seams are welded automatically under submerged arc flux layer,forming solid and reliable longitudinal welds.

The whole production procedure includes steel plate inspection,edge milling,pre-bending,forming,inner seam welding,outer seam welding,heat treatment,weld grinding,dimensional sizing,straightening,non-destructive flaw detection and hydraulic pressure test.The thick and compact weld structure possesses excellent mechanical performance,strong impact resistance and great structural stability.After comprehensive post-treatment,internal welding stress is fully released,which greatly improves overall toughness and anti-fatigue performance.

With wide adjustable range of diameter and wall thickness,LSAW pipes are especially suitable for large-diameter and high-pressure pipeline projects.They feature superior pressure bearing capacity,good sealing performance and stable overall quality under long-term high-pressure operation.The pipe surface can be further processed with epoxy coating,plastic coating and other anti-corrosion treatments to resist soil corrosion,chemical erosion and outdoor aging for extended service life.
